I love this hat! It was such a quick and satisfying knit! I knit this up as a thank you to an island neighbour who gave me a lift to the airport when my parent's were too sick with the flu to take me. Knit up on 7mm needles in Noro Bonbori January 1, 2011.
Um, did I mention my addictive personality? Another seed stitch cap knit up in Noro Bonbori and 7mm needles on January 1, 2010.
SQUEEEE! Aren't these adorable? Once I got the gist of the two circs I was using the method for everything! These are a free pattern from www.straw.com. I sized down the child's M pattern to an XS to fit my nephew's little hands. Knit up with some leftover Noro Silk Garden on 3mm needles. Started December 30, 2010 and completed January 1, 2011.
Yet another version of the cutest hat around! This was made with Yarns by Danika handspun yarn called Greenland. I've misplaced my work card on this but I know I knit it up in a few hours one day this month!
I really have to stop knitting these little hats! I think I'm done now though. I'm out of the Noro yarn that makes these so fun to knit and each one so differently coloured. Knit as a thank you for a dogsitting friend and the Turn a Square I knit up last year but it was too big for me. Good thing I have a big headed and big hearted friend who spied it laying about, took it home and loves it!
Ummmmm, what can I say other than addictive!
See? I can knit something other than a seed stitch hat! This is the Ribbed Hat pattern from the Vogue Knitting Accessorize book. Knit up in the ever fun Noro Bonbori on 5mm needles January 8th, 2011.

Those who know me know also of my love for BACON! This is my subtle way of wearing my bacon love when a t-shirt loudly proclaiming my bacon love is inappropriate. Even though casting on 272 stitches was a chore this did knit up fairly quickly on 5mm needles with some Patons Classic Wool in the Winter White and Heathered Cognac colurways. It's Debbie Stoller's Makin' Bacon scarf pattern that's available for free! It's like FREE BACON! Started February 9th and completed February 12th, 2011.
Doggone Long Gloves
I am planning to make a 1930's capelet and knew I would need some long gloves to keep me warm as the cape part only comes to the elbows. So I smooshed a couple patterns together and came up with these. I started with the Merrywarmers pattern and then a touch of the Podster gloves. I am in love with the radiating rib down the forearms. I am not in love with the fingers on these. I continued the ribbing into the fingers and I think somewhere along the way I should have stopped. Now I know for next time! Cool things, I made the thumb and first finger of the right glove convertible. That means I can flip the tops of those fingers back and be able to use my iPhone! Or pick my nose! Whatever is needed! LOL
I started these February 13th, 2011 on 3mm needles in Kureyon Sock yarn. They were completed March 27, 2011.

I'm trying out the challenge of lace. Challenging because you have to work on it by yourself. All alone. With no distractions. You have to count. You have to keep track. All at the same time!
