The Rogue

The Rogue

I won a limerick contest that the amazing Wendy had put on. My prize was a box of Galway Irish Knitting Wool in a super Kelly Green! I had to make something to make Miss Wendy proud. After polishing my skills for a few years I knew what I needed to do with all that wool. This was a challenging project and I did discover a few errors in the pattern before going and checking out the errata page on the website. The facings are on a 3.5mm needle and the rest of the sweater is on a 5mm needle. I made it one size larger than needed as I wanted to slightly full the sweater after it was completed. I washed it and spun it out in the washing machine. Then I threw it in the dryer and checked on it every 5 mins. It was in the dryer for about 30-40 minutes before I was satisfied with the result. Not felted but slightly more melded together. I started this August 25th, 2006 and completed it October 21st, 2006. This is not my sweater. This is a late birthday present for my dear friend Terri She loves this colour! Wear it well my friend!
