Still sick, still working.
So let's have a little pictorial. I was unpacking my sweater kit and all my yarn was in skeins. So I hand bombed a couple trying different ways of holding the skein and such. After 2 my wrist hurt and I knew there was a better way to do this.
I hit Birkeland Bros. I made it out with 2 items.
This.
Nifty, huh?
And this.
Isn't it gorgeous? I never thought I could love some bits of wood so much. It's got wooden screws and hemp twine and I love it.
It's been a tremendous help. Look what I did!
How the hell did dog feet get in the picture? Sheesh.
I coloured in my chart. I find I'm a visual person. (Wait a minute, didn't I have trouble with the diagram for the Hallowig? Crap I think I'm in trouble.) It was fun.
Now to watch the video about how to weave and carry two yarns...to be continued.
Oh! I am *green* with envy over your swift and ball winder! It makes things SO much easier! :)
Glad I found your site!

I'm a recent convert to the world of swifts and ball winders too. The biggest challenge now is resisting the urge to wind the ENTIRE stash into chubby little cakes even if I have no intention of knitting with it anytime soon.
And where's there's a couch, there are the feet of a sleeping dog to creep into the photo. No surprises there. :) It's amazing how much time these incredibly fast dogs spend lying perfectly still.
